About the RDC

The Research & Development Cell (RDC) is established in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to strengthen and promote a robust research ecosystem, as envisioned in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The RDC plays a pivotal role in enhancing research productivity, fostering innovation, and promoting multidisciplinary and translational research within institutions. Its vision is to create an enabling environment that supports high-quality, impactful, and sustained research output.

  • Strengthens the research ecosystem in the institution as per NEP-2020.
  • Promotes high-quality, impactful, and multidisciplinary research across departments.
  • Supports faculty and researchers through guidance, training, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Develops institutional research policies and identifies thrust areas for research development.
  • Facilitates collaborations with industries, research organizations, and funding agencies.
  • Ensures ethical and quality research practices and promotes IPR & innovation culture.
  • Acts as a central coordinating body for research governance, monitoring, and administration.
